PADI Open Water Certification by Referral

Become a certified diver in Hawaii without wasting valuable vacation time attending classroom lectures, reading a manual or studying for quizzes.  Contact your hometown PADI dive shop to complete your academic and pool sessions then simply bring your referral document to us and enjoy 4 open water dives (the fun part!) in the warm, clear waters of Hawaii.  You will have 2 half days of plenty of individualized instruction from our PADI instructors.

We do Universal Referrals from NAUI, SSI, and PADI.

$325 + tax

PADI Dive Theory Certification

PADI Dive Theory enables divers of all levels to enrichment their personal dive skills.  This certification consists of six easy-to-learn sections, covering Physics, Physiology, Equipment, The Recreational Dive Planner, Diving Environment and Dive Skills. 

$125 paid to PADI for eLearning

Prerequisites:

  • Anyone at least 10 years of age may enroll in PADI Dive Theory Online.
  • Unlike other PADI eLearning® courses, Dive Theory Online does not have a practical component. Completing the online course material is all that is required.

PADI Advanced Open Water Certification

Looking to build your SCUBA diving skills and become more confident underwater?  We will help you learn more about deep, underwater navigation, search & recovery, peak performance buoyancy, and night diving over a 2 day course that includes four day dives and one Manta Ray Night dive.  Our friendly and supportive dive instructors will help you expand your knowledge so you will be able to experience more advanced underwater adventures.

$375 + tax -or- $575 + tax for private PADI instructor
$158 paid to PADI for eLearning

Prerequisites:

  • Must be 12 years of age
  • Open Water Certification

What’s Included:

  • Professional PADI dive instructor
  • 5 Adventure Boat Dives (Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive, Search & Recovery Dive, Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive, Night Dive with the Kona Manta Rays)

PADI Emergency First Response Certification

Learn lifesaving skills and become confidentin CPR, First Aid, and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and become a qualified Emergency First Responder (EFR).  Through a combination of independent study and skill practice with an instructor, you’ll build the confidence and skills to provide basic emergency care.  This course is required for divers to enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver Course, however, everyone can benefit.  You will also learn how to treat various injuries and wound dressing.

$100 + tax -or- $200 + tax for private EFR instructor

  • Must be 10 years of age

PADI Rescue Diver Certification

Challenge, build and expand your Scuba diving skills. Your certified PADI instructor will teach you how to prevent problems and manage them if they occur.  Master self-rescue techniques, rescuing panicked or unresponsive divers, recognize and manage stress in other divers, and emergency management.  This rewarding course will prepare you for handling SCUBA diving emergencies.

The PADI Rescue Diver course is available through the PADI eLearning family.  You can start right away and it lets you learn at your own pace and in you own time.

PADI Rescue Diver Internship & Career Development Course

Become a Rescue Diver!  Invest 1 month of your life in Hawaii, living island style, playing in warm clear blue waters, enjoying some of the world’s best diving and earn your PADI Rescue Diver certification finishing with the next step towards your career!

This career development course is intended for those wanting to go from zero to hero.  You are immersed in the professional world of SCUBA diving with plenty of personal attention throughout the rescue diver internship program.  You work alongside our divemasters, instructors, captains, and crew.  Upon completion of this work-study course, you will have the skills to go anywhere in the world as a PADI Rescue Diver.

Class size is limited to 4 interns per session.

$1300 + tax
$492 + tax paid to PADI for eLearning

$400 + tax for 1 month of Scuba diving rental gear and unlimited diving outside of class

Schedule:

Internships begin the first of every month – we can be flexible with your perfect schedule

Prerequisites:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Current medical insurance
  • PADI Medical Statement – of good health signed by a physician within past 12 months

  • Professional PADI dive instructor
  • PADI Open Water, PADI Advanced Open Water, PADI Emergency First Response, PADI Rescue Diver Certifications

Accommodations:

  • Quiet location at 1200’ elevation provides incredible island/ocean views and cooler temperatures than downtown Kailua-Kona

  • Common areas include – cable TV, pool, washer & dryer, large kitchen, great room and lanai.
  • A van is provided for interns to share for transportation to marina, island exploration, restaurants, kayaking, hiking, golfing, and entertainment venues.
  • Interns purchase gasoline for shared car
  • Food for snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner can be purchased at nearby restaurants, supermarkets and local farmer’s markets just minutes from accommodations.
